About SBACAPA

The South Bay Area Chapter was founded on August 23, 1983 and was the first Chapter of its kind in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. Our membership includes many large and small employers, persons with many years of Payroll experience and persons just starting out in Payroll.

We hold our meetings or participate in educational Payroll opportunities each month from February through October and celebrate our profession each year in November. In 1991, the South Bay Area Chapter requested and was awarded a Proclamation granting the month of August as Payroll Professional Month in Santa Clara County.

It is the goal to provide the following to our members:

• Educational workshops and meetings
• Informative industry speakers
• Networking opportunities with other Payroll Professionals
• Support in the Certified Payroll Professional program including via Study Groups
• Educational Scholarship program
• Monthly Update Bulletin including access to Job Board listings
• CEUs and credit hours towards recertification
